## How it works, without jargon

A generative model learns patterns from training data and responds to the instructions and context it receives. A plausible response may be wrong. Imagine a very fast new colleague: they need to understand the work, the relevant information and the expected outcome.

## Where it helps, where it needs guidance

Drafts, variants, summaries, translation and organising content are useful areas to explore. Facts, numbers and sources need checking. Taste, strategy and market knowledge remain part of human direction. Speed is only one component: context, method and review matter too.
